Re: New HPI/HB Body Shell & Wheels

Whats new about that Chaser? Those have been around for a minute... Uyls already answered this, but that's why I bolded the USA in my post. It means that body will be available to US dealers. That's also the version 2 Weld car that incorporated HPI decals into the livery, which the first car didn't...

Re: whats a good quick servo?

The Savox line is really nice, inexpensive, and they seem to be very durable. I have one in my TA-05V.2 and it's been great. You can find servos with a speed of less than .10 for about $65USD.

Re: Active TA06 Front Motor Conversion

Well if your looking for a chassis so you can do a front motor conversion MST might be the best choice. The reason why is that active one will be $300 for the kit. The MST is $150 and is availible right now. You won't have to wait for it. The chassis is sick too. The MST is available for a VDF? How...

Re: General opinion on The MST-01D and MST-01D Pro

I've done a ton of research on this car and the SPICE car that is basically the same. I don't own one, I'm not sponsored by them, so I don't have a dog in this hunt at all. So I'll tell you what I've gathered.... For $359 MSRP the chassis seems a little over-priced. Granted, I haven't seen it cheape...

I replied to your PM. Please let MST know Harris sent you to them. :) I did that but no response. They came back immediately and said they'd point me in the direction of a hobby shop that carries them but I've not seen any response after I told them where I was located. Do you know what's going on?

Re: Nwe Yokomo DP Type-C, CS Setup Build

Thanks for the pics, Katsumi !! I like that chassis a lot, but I'm curious to see how well it holds up to wear and tear. One of the complaints of TT01 owners is the swivel ball a-arm/hub carrier setup and how they have to replaced regularly due to wear and tear. The amount of stuff that's adjustable...

I went back and forth with Tim via e-mail about counter steer for a while before joining here. His responses are really quick and he's really eager to help. I just placed an order last week for parts, they seem to ship quick (no waiting 3 days before shipping) and I like their site layout.

Re: Why so much camber/caster?

I really wasn't sure where to post it, thanks for moving it, Ulys. Hi, BTW. I've been doing some research /analysis on this. The camber and caster are almost inversely related. I don't know the exact figures, but the caster will negate the effect of the camber on the inside wheel, resulting i...

Re: Why so much camber/caster?

The caster makes the car steer in better, the camber makes the wheel go more flat in a turn which gives some more grip, and thus more oversteer. I understand the physics of camber, but what you're saying doesn't make sense. At 1-3 degrees, yes, the tire would be more flat in a turn and the inside w...

Why so much camber/caster?

The one thing I can't quite grasp about CS setups is the INSANE amount of camber and caster everyone is running. According to what I've read, this makes the car more stable in turns, which is the absolute opposite of what it should do to the handling of the car. Touring cars usually run 1-3 degrees ...

Harbor Freight - Ultrasonic Cleaner

I recently helped a buddy do a thorough dis-assembly / clean / re-assembly of a used chassis he bought. I've always had a tough time cleaning bearings, even using the RPM bearing blaster with motor spray. So I went over to Harbor Freight and found this: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayi...
