Re: Hamster82's Secret DIY Shock dampers !!!!!!!!!!

Do you really think rc drift cars with plastic tires can flatten the springs as shown in the video ??

If you have 2" jump´s in all curves its a nice mod , but for smooth surfaces dont see the benefits.

Yes , I said you had to improvise a tensor ... See the example of the Yokomo drb , perfect engineering    http://www.rctech.net/forum/attachments/malaysian-forsale-trade/983174d1350708137-drift-package-yokomo-drb-img_3022.jpg Or just get a short belt http://driftmission.com/team-tetsu...

Re: RC-ART flywheel for one-way ( or solid)

inertia , keeps the car drifting "without" motor , also the car have more smoothness

is mostly used by people running brushed motors ... or brushless with much torque ;)

Re: Anybody here CS a Losi JRXS Type R?

More caster will give you more "grip" in full lock , even with 0 camber you will get 6/8 degrees at full lock easily . and the look is more realistic.

Without changing the center pulleys you stay with 155% , just use de 27 teeth in the rear , not bad

Re: Anybody here CS a Losi JRXS Type R?

Hi , unfortunately it is not JRX-S , the first mid engine with a distribution of 50/50 weight :P You can get the pulleys from a xx-4, the old school tt chassis, 27 teeth is the perfect fit for the rear diff. Will give you overdrive and you should get an motor 13.5 above . Surely you use the CVD's wi...

Rc drifting is more about time behind the radio ... more than a handcraft , exclusive or high-end chassis , keep practice, practice, practice ;)

Depends on the amount of camber you will use but the most important is what chassis and the hex you have , and the brand of the body , there are 190 and "190" mm ;)

Breitling The standard of rc drifting now day´s is to imitate battles like the real ones , at speed´s very high no one can run door to door with no one , not to mention that lines and clipping points are to forgot Check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPXI6CI2Xp8 If you want faster than this...

Re: R31-16fm and Sakura d3

lol , in this case that the track is small and narrow does not make big differences . in general a softer rear setup gives you better acelaration and control , a harder front setup can gives you a realistic look because the front tires have less traction and you can do full steering with large angle...

Re: 100% overdive not holding angle-help!

Try a motor with less rpm, do not forget that 100% of overdrive is like having a motor low in turns ... almost Calzone is is right, get rid of the weights for the front wheels dont grip much let the car take a good angle and then enter in cs mode maintaining smooth acceleration and more important of...

Re: Hard Springs

So your 1/10 scale car is only 1 dimensional? I understand your math  Length x width x height is to find the mass of a solid element ... a car is not solid ... and I do not know if this is the correct calculation ... Be 150gr 1.500 g , 15 kg or 150 kg is relative, what I mean is that a rc car h...

Sir Slide Alot i was wrong , its 100 kg not 10 kg , way to far , a real car 1500 kg , ten times less 150 ... not 1kg like you said

Re: Hard Springs

It´s not a personal preference , the real drift cars have about a ton or more and big and good gripy tires , and yes that ones need to be very hard on the springs , to rc drift car imitate a real car needs to weigh 10 kilos +- to make the suspension work like the big ones . Some people makes fancy v...
